As of this date we have 42 out of 46 going! At the initial meeting I promised the more that go, the better the trip price. With such a high number attending, our TRIP COST is $575. Since you have already paid the $200 deposit, the balance is $375.

Please send an amount of at least $100. If you are on a payment plan, continue to make payments as agreed upon. If you would like to be on a payment plan, please contact me. Checks should be made out to YORK MIDDLE SCHOOL. Credit card payments are also accepted. Some forms were given in the introductory packets. If you would like another, one can be sent home upon request.
It is time to begin fundraising!
Our first fundraiser is a prize calendar we sell in November at conference time. I am asking that each student attending to please bring in a "prize" to be added to the calendar. Ideally 31 prizes are needed. Prizes can be things such as gift certificates or a donated item. Please sign up on the link below so prizes are not duplicated. In the past parents have collected items from local business to add to the raffle. Each day of the calendar will contain a prize. Every day a name will be drawn. Each calendar bought = one chance in the raffle. Each calendar sold by a student earns money off of that student's individual trip.If Johnny sells 10 calendars, at $10 a piece, he earns $100 off of his trip. We usually have the calendars ready for sale for conference time and Thanksgiving break. Motivated students have been very successful with this one.

Our second fundraiser is a another easy one. In the past we have paired with the Parent Group to sell York Winter Gear. They donate part of each sale towards our fund. It is our job to promote it!
Another POSSIBLE fundraiser is a crêpe sale. This one requires a lot of parent involvement and help. The idea is to make and sell crêpes to staff and students during the morning arrival/advisory time. Tickets could be sold in advance or purchased at the time of the sale. Parents would be responsible for helping their students donate equipment and food to make this possible. Parents would also be needed to work with students to set up, to cook and to clean up. If this sounds like a good idea to you, I will need a parent to take the lead! Please contact me.
