I am the 6th, 7th and 8th grade French teacher at York Middle School. I am a graduate of Wells High School, and hold my B.A. in Foreign Languages, with a concentration in Education, from Assumption College. I earned my Masters Degree (Masters in the Art of Teaching Languages) with an emphasis in French, from the University of Southern Mississippi. I have studied in Paris at the Alliance Française and at CAVILAM in Vichy. I travel annually to Québec city with my 8th graders.
I am a wife, mother of 4 and a proud Franco-American. Even though I struggled with language learning as a young adult, I chose to pursue French studies because I LOVE the language, the people, and the cultures associated with the language. It is part of my heritage, it is a part of who I am. I feel my difficulty with learning French has helped me to be sensitive to the struggles my students may encounter. My expectations may be high, but I love to have fun when learning.
