General Guidelines

French is a major ACADEMIC subject that meets everyday for 45 minutes. (6th grade meets twice a week for a quarter before moving on to the next language in the exploratory rotation.)
•SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION of grade 7 AND 8 French at the middle school is equivalent to French I at the high school level. Students should then be prepared to enter French II in ninth grade.
•Students and teacher conduct 70%-100% of class time in French. Students are required to speak and discard English as they master the French necessary to express their ideas. Petit à petit!
•Technology is used extensively in Madame’s class. It is expected that students will use the technology available to them in a respectful, appropriate and meaningful manner. Guidelines have been created to ensure the safety and enjoyment for all. Please, take the time to review the guidelines to help our class experience be a productive, fun and safe one!
